MAKEUP Summer 2013 Workouts!

IMPORTANT WORKOUT INFORMATIONto Participate in the 2013 Summer Season. Individuals wanting to participate in the 2013 softballseason need to attend one of the workout times below.   Players should arrive 15 minutes early to complete the registration forms.

5-11 Saturday


3pm 9u/10u & 11u/12u
4:30pm 13u/14u & 15u/16u

ALL AGES ARE DETERMINED BY AGE ON January 1st, of the current season!

Each tryout time slot is 1.5 hours, with small groups designed for maximum exposure for each player.  This is a very fast paced workout! Please arrive early to be on time!
 
Basic Program Info:  Scrimmage & Tournament Play (roughly 2 per month)
General Season Schedule: January–May & June-August with probable play into late fall.

Again, the cost will be breakeven $s with a small facility fee for the new indoor and improved outdoor turf facilities. This facility is NOW OPEN!

Each team will play 1 -2 tournaments per month and will error towards the lighter side so the girls can get sharper with softball skills yet still do great with their schoolwork.  We do indeed put schoolwork ahead of softball. Our future player profiles will include GPA/ACT/SAT college entrant scores.

Built from our award winning 10 year old competitive baseball program template! We already know it works!

General Season Schedules:
Spring is December-May, with Player Workouts in October
Summer is June–August, with Player Workouts in Early May
Fall is September- November, with Ongoing Summer and New Players

Tournament Play: roughly 2 per month. 
February - May: Interlock PONY Scheduled Season Games & Travel Ball Tournaments
Practices weekly with frequency TBD by team performance.

  • Play real fast pitch competitive softball all year. The new indoor/outdoor Slammer Stable training facility is now open with 10,000 square feet of all-weather turf.
  • Established in 2003, San Ramon PONY prides its organization in fielding experienced & professional level coaches, who provide age appropriate player & team expectations, while teaching skills to get each & every player throughout our system ready for High School softball & beyond, regardless of their current age.
  • We play competitive scrimmages & ASA, IFA, NSA, USSSA & All-World tournaments all year.
  • We play by production and work ethic while teaching valuable year.
  • We provide quality, fast moving & productive practices.
  • We offer an extended seasons into Summer and Fall. 
    A competitive developmental fall/winter program takes precedence from September through November.
  • We play real softball with scaled fields to what is seen in HS & College.
  • We don’t water down the game rules!
  • We use professional paid umpires that officiate for us, at the high school and college levels.
  • San Ramon PONY Softball is a non-profit (501c) organization that offers a VERY reasonably priced & high level softball home for players age 9 through 18. We are an organization that services the community. We strive to keep costs affordable, only needing to charge a reasonable breakeven fee.
  • San Ramon PONY Softball is co-sponsored by the City of San Ramon & has access to San Ramon City Parks & private fields for practices & home games.

Meet Our Professional Team Managers for our players!

Our Coaches will mentor the younger teams/coaches while managing our High School aged teams therefore eventually managing all of our players. They have a large stable of current and past players to draw assistance and specialty coaching. This will expose our players to the most competitive aspects of the game while providing a strong foundation in the fundamentals. VERY EXCITING!!!

 
Lauren Liming

Position: OF/3B
Major: Business

PERSONAL: Liming is majoring in business and would like go to cosmetology school and own her own business …
Interests include music, fashion, styling hair, the Boston Red Sox, and Chelsea Handler … Favorite musicians include Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Britney Spears and Jason Aldean … 
Lauren Rochelle Liming, daughter of Scott and JoRae Liming, was born on Aug. 20, 1990, in Lompoc.

CAL STATE Stanislaus (2011/13):
Leads team in batting average 351, second in RBIs and Home Runs.
Sacramento City College (2009/11):
Lauren Liming batted .315 with 10 doubles, 6 home runs and 20 stolen bases in 2011 … She led Sac City with 41 runs scored as they finished 34-11 … Transferred in 2011
HIGH SCHOOL: Liming was a three-time All-League player at Dublin High School … Earned team’s offensive MVP award her senior year … Graduated in 2008



Ali Palermo
Position: 1B/ Catcher
Major: Business
Hometown: Redwood Shores

JUNIOR (2012):  An outstanding all-around performer for the Seawolves as a junior ... third on the team in batting average (.313) with 47 hits in 150 at bats, adding eight doubles, six home runs, 27 RBI and 19 runs scored ... Appeared and started in 54 of the team's 55 games, all at first base ... recorded 14 multiple-hit games, the second-most on the team ... recorded a career-high five RBI in a 9-0 win over Cal State East Bay (2/24/12) ... led the team in sacrifice bunts (7) ... did not commit an error at first base in 281 chances, which led the CCAA; she hasn't committed a defensive error since 4/9/11 -- a streak of 401 chances without an error ... now owns the program's career home run record with 23 through her first three seasons at Sonoma State.

SOPHOMORE (2011):  Received CCAA All-Tournament honors, helping the Seawolves earn their second straight CCAA tournament title … played in 56 games, starting 55 ... sported a .248 average (35-141), including four doubles and seven home runs, second on the team … contributed 13 runs and recorded 27 RBI … made 274 putouts in the infield, most of which came at her position at first base … led the CCAA in sacrifice flies (4) … fourth in the conference in fielding double plays with 12 … went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, an RBI and a homer against Cal State Stanislaus (3/11/11) … bashed in two or more RBIs on seven occasions.

FRESHMAN (2010):  Appeared in 49 games for the Seawolves as a freshman, starting 42 of them, mostly as the designated player … earned First Team All-CCAA and Daktronics First Team All-West Region honors … broke the school record for most home runs in a single season (10) … blasted two home runs in a 6-3 win over Cal State Stanislaus (4/3/10) … fourth on the team with a .341 batting average (43-126) … recorded 37 RBI … had a .576 slugging percentage, third on the team, with 15 extra base hits … hit safely in 28 games and had 11 multi-hit games.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Graduated from Notre Dame Belmont High School, where she played on the varsity softball team and was an All-League, All-County, and All-Metro selection, including a Second Team All-State honoree.

PERSONAL:  Chose Sonoma State for the beautiful campus, great softball program and the overall location of the school ... favorite sports team is the New England Patriots and is a fan of quarterback Tom Brady … listens to the music of Christina Aguilera … enjoys to watch the TV show One Tree Hill … favorite food is cheese … enjoys the movie The Dark Knight ... most memorable sports moment was winning the CCAA tournament title two years in a row.

 Mark Cardoza

Mark grew up in a farming community in the South San Joaquin Valley and has made the Tri-Valley area home with his family for the past 15 years, runs a successful business and has been with San Ramon Baseball since nearly our inception. Skilled in the art of game management and developing both average and advanced players mentally, physically and in character presentation, Mark is in the third year of developing our select travel girl’s fastpitch softball program using the successful and proven SRB baseball template.
